How can I optimise flow for Leads from Meta Ads

How do I connect ManyChat with leads coming from my Meta Ads?

I’m currently running a campaign which gets them directly to DM for Instagram and Facebook , I have seen users be more interactive when they chat and are easy to convert.

Specifically looking for ways to:
• Qualify leads inside DMs
• Send reminders, offers, or booking links
• Improve response rates and conversions
• Build a smoother lead nurturing journey from ad → DM → conversion

Would love to know the best setup and flow structure for this.

Hey @euphoriaagency

It depends on the business…

But in general, we’re starting a conversation with an AI Agent in Manychat that’s trained on the funnel and is able to nurture and qualify the leads.

Once the lead is qualified, they’re sent to the CRM or added to longer-term nurture lists (email, SMS or WhatsApp).

The flow structure we create is usually our AI agent connected to the default reply (and also ad triggers to be able to track ads). Once they start the conversation the AI takes control and guides them through the next steps.

What kind of businesses do you work with?

A few things that actually move the needle on ad → DM → conversion specifically:

1. Tag every lead by the ad that drove them the moment they enter the DM. If you can pass the ad ID or a ref param into the conversation, you can see which creative converts vs just starts chats. Most people skip this and then can't tell which ad is worth scaling.

2. Open with one qualifying question, not a pitch. Something low-effort ("Are you after X or Y?"). It segments intent instantly and gets a reply, which keeps you inside the messaging window.

3. Branch on the answer. Hot intent gets the booking link right away while they're warm. Not-ready leads drop into a short nurture sequence (offer, reminder, proof) spaced across the 24-hour window, not dumped all at once.

4. Use the 24-hour window deliberately. One follow-up around 10 to 20 min for non-responders, one more near the 23-hour mark before it closes. After that you need a paid message tag or you're locked out.

5. Route to a human the moment someone shows real buying signals or asks something off-script. Automation qualifies and warms, humans close the high-value ones.

The biggest miss I see is treating it as one long bot script instead of qualify, branch, route. Keep message 1 short, segment fast, only send the booking link to  people who've shown intent.
