Let's make Manychat do all this work for you!

Adapt your automation to something like this:

1. Set your triggers
2. Instead of directly sending the button with the link, create a welcoming message with a quick reply to a next step.
   • This gives you a more pleasant way to interact with the contact.
   • And it will also open a 24h window in wich you will be able to send any kind of follow up.
3. Now, a new message + button with your link
4. Connect the button to an Action step and set a Tag to the contact that has clicked on the button
   • In the example, I used a tag called TEST-TAG. You can create one just for this
5. As next step, set a Smart Delay with some time to wait to check if the contact did click the button (or didn't).
   • This must be less than 24h because of Meta's 24h window rule.
6. Create a condition that checks if the contact hasn't the tag that you set on the button click
   • If the contact hasn't the tag = continues to the follow up
   • If the contact HAS the tag = does nothing
7. Here you connect your follow up message/s

This will automatically do your follow ups for the contacts that don't click the button + link.

IMPORTANT:

• If the contact sends a message on some post/reel and don't go to the DMs and interact with the first message, a 24h window will not be opened and a follow up won't be possible.
• That said, it will also not be possible to manually do any kind of automation or broadcast follow up outside the 24h window.
