Hey everyone,We want to let you know that Facebook widgets that allow you to send automated messages from web into Facebook Messenger will no longer be available to use for initiating Manychat-powered conversations and automations. What’s happening?Meta announced that starting September 30, 2024, this feature will no longer be available. You can continue using features like m.me links that redirect people to a person, page, or conversation in Messenger.For Manychat users, this means we’ll be saying goodbye to this functionality in the interface and that any automation setup using web widgets will no longer trigger automations from Manychat. What now?The good news is that we’ve got you covered. You can simply use the Messenger Ref URL to redirect users from websites to the chat with a Manychat Automation You’ll want to revisit automations and remove web HTML widget code for triggered from Modal (for both Messenger & SMS), Page Takeover, Buttons, Box, Landing and Checkbox. To avoid any “dead end” automations from former web widgets, choose new triggers you want instead of website widgets. When will this happen?Because the functionality has been removed by Meta, we will remove this from Manychat on November 11, 2024. We understand that this change may pose a challenge to your existing workflow and we apologize for any inconvenience. We appreciate your understanding and please know that we are working tirelessly to make Manychat work better for you!

🎨 Pause automation for certain contacts: No more automation interruptions for family and friends. We’re bringing you even more granular filters for your automations! Now, you can exclude friends and family from your Manychat automations. Our recent update allows you to manually pause all automations (forever) for a select number of contacts. This means that your personal conversations stay personal — and your automations won’t get in the way of your chat with grandma. 🔑 Key Points:No contact limit: Pause an automation for as many users as you wish. Switch it back: Un-pause automations at any time by going back to the livechat. Go to Manychat!

Our team is actively working to reflect these changes in the Manychat UI and update the relevant documentation. Now you can send a message to your WhatsApp contact as soon as they open a chat with you! No more waiting on them to trigger an automation. We’re so excited to announce this highly anticipated and requested feature! Here’s everything you need to know about this feature and how to set it up 👇 What is the Welcome Message? ℹ️Your Welcome Message is a preset message that will be sent to every customer that opens up a chat with your business for the first time. Once you exchange messages, if the user reopens the chat, they won’t receive the message again. Starting June 1, 2024, Meta has deactivated sponsored message campaigns. By the end of July, these campaigns will no longer be available, and any active campaigns will be turned off. This change means you will no longer be able to create custom audiences of people who sent a message to your business.Key Points to Note:Deactivation Timeline: Sponsored message campaigns are deactivated starting June 1, 2024, with complete removal by the end of July. Impact on Custom Audiences: The ability to create custom audiences based on users who sent messages to your business will be discontinued. Go to Manychat!

You and your customers can connect easily and know exactly where each other are by simply checking the user field where you stored it. This feature was heavily requested and will definitely reduce confusion moving forward.👥 Who gets to use this? This update will only affect Manychat Admins and Pro users.🤔 How do I use it? If you want to import contacts, simply go to the Contacts section in the Manychat account and click the top right button “Import” button. You’ll see this snazzy new window.Here you can see what channels you have connected which will help you determine what type of contacts you can import. If you don’t have a channel connected, you can click to be linked to the connection process. If you don’t have SMS or Email connected, you will be linked to Manychat support to conduct the approval process. Now you can import CSV files and be sure which channel these contacts will be added to! 🎉*Remember, contact imports will increase your subscription plan and if you have an active Rule with the “New contact” trigger, it will be triggered for every new contact in the uploading list. ❤️ Do you love this update? This update eliminates the need for cumbersome CSV or spreadsheet imports when adding individual contacts, saving you precious time. 🤔 How do you use it? Simply click the “Save Phone for WhatsApp Conversations” box while typing in a contact’s number. This will add the phone as a WhatsApp contact and allow you to start WhatsApp conversations by sending message templates in Broadcasts or Live Chat.📞 Collecting Phone Numbers in your Flows? If you use User Inputs to collect phone numbers, you can now toggle on WhatsApp IDs in the flowbuilder. Now you can automatically store WhatsApp IDs through your automations!🦺 Marked Safe from Duplicating Contacts: Manychat’s team has also implemented a failsafe to ensure you don’t duplicate existing contacts by adding a number already in your database. 🔄 Consistency Across Channels: With this update, WhatsApp joins the rest of Manychat’s channels like Messenger, and Instagram where you can manually add individual contacts. ❤️ Do you love this update?
