Contact blocking on WhatsApp is now available for all accounts 🎉
Here’s how it works:
- Contacts can only be blocked if they messaged within the last 24 hours
- Blocking a WA-only contact means that they’re also removed from Manychat
- If they have multiple channels, blocking hides their WA connection
- There’s a 64,000 contact block limit per WhatsApp account
- Messages to blocked contacts via import/“Create contact” won’t be delivered
⚠️ Note: there’s a Meta-side limitation affecting coexistence accounts. If you unban a user in the WhatsApp Business App, you won’t be able to block them again in Manychat.
We hope this new feature helps create a safer messaging environment by letting you block users who send spam or inappropriate messages.
