Unanswered questions

Hey, so suddenly my Manychat account stopped automations, stopped updating convos, and wouldn’t allow me to send messages.I refreshed permissions, tried every workaround possible and went as far as deleting my instagram account from Manychat and reconnecting it (losing all my conversations and contacts), thinking that would solve the issue.But no, after reconnecting the account, chats do update now, but cant send messages. NOTE: I have NO restrictions on Instagram’s side, so the issue is on Manychat’s integration or Manychat blocking my ability to send messages…Any way of fixing this? I’m attaching a screenshot belowI have tried to reach support but we all know how that is innefficient and a “ticket” was created. If there is known workaround, or at least any other MC alternatives? thanks

Hi,in my automations I have a button with “I agree 👍” being sent to the DM of the user, however, it happens quite a lot of times that I receive just the blue thumb up of facebook messenger from users instead of this button content, which obviously is not being catched by the automation.Is this some kind of issue maybe with older facebook messenger version not showing buttons properly?It started happening a lot right after I added the 👍emoji to the button text.Thank you.

Hi there,I am sending a welcome message with a question to new followers and would like to start a lead qualification when they answer. The AI step seems to be really helpful, but I am not quite sure yet how and when to use it. I have three questions which I would like to ask new followers to identify if they are potential customers, but I have some technical questions on how to set this up:Is it possible to start an automation (incl. the AI Step) if a new follower responds to my welcome message which doesn’t contain a link? How would I start the automation with the AI step as soon as a follower responds?Is the AI Step “smart enough” to skip questions if the first answer contains already all answers? How would I train the AI to do that?Can I only give context within the AI step? I am working in a specialised domain and could give the AI much more context for the interaction (through files, chats with clients, example chats doing the qualification manually, etc.). Hi,I have created my first automation using flows and now I am just duplicating it. However, everytime I edit the new duplicate and make it live, a popup “Your first automation is live!” shows with celebrations. It was fun the first time, the 45th time it is already too much.Any idea? It seems it’s somehow keeping the tag of the first automation even for duplicates.Thank you in advance.

Hi, I’ve been trying to get this to work for 5 hours, so here I am I have an automation where the first step after the entry of user sends a message is triggered to reply with a message with 3 buttons. If the user replies in text, without clicking any buttons, then i want it to capture their text in a temp field, trigger an automation that conditions off the contents of the field and services up different responses depending on the key words the temp field contains,  no matter what i can do, i cannot get it to fire consistently. I’d list out everything i’ve tried, but I’m not sure I even remember them all the use case is, my trigger entry is user sends a message, and i have buttons going to direct them down paths to try to build value. it’s likely many people will just type in “how much?” or 10 other common questions, so i want to make sure they can still get those answers even when typing in response to buttons, quick replies or data collection points   

Hi! I’m trying to make an automation super conversational, so I’m trying to avoid buttons or weird system prompts. At one point, I prompt the user to send an image. When they send an image, I would like the user to receive confirmation that I received the image and will get back to them soon (convo is assigned to me) If the user enters text, I want the convo just assigned to me If they do not reply after X amount of time, I want me to receive a different message, or maybe be assigned a tag for follow up I’ve had a MC admin and a dev look at it, and so far the only way it has workd has been using quick replies with a prompt to “Upload photp,” or “I dont have a photo.” It works, but I am really trying to keep it in a convo format - no button or quick replies Goal is:I prompt for photo user sends photo get confirmation msg user enters text get a diff message nothing happens either a message later or add a tag to initiative a follow up automation

Hello… Total newbie to ManyChat. I am using the free trial for now with plans to upgrade to Pro once I understand how to do certain tasks. Here is what I need help with and have no idea how to set this up. On particular IG posts, in the description, I will be asking users to Comment “Wine” in order to receive a Free PDF guide. In addition, I will be telling them to follow me on Instagram first, so I can DM them.  IG won't deliver the DM if they are not  following. Once the users follow my page, ManyChat will automatically respond to these comments with a line that says something like, “Sending over my Free Guide now. Please check your DM”ManyChat will then send a DM to each of these users….Thanks for requesting the free PDF guide! (the PDF guide will be attached) I would then take over, and personally DM the next day with an upsell to receive the full PDF guide. What is the proper way to set this up? Thanks, Steve

I have connected my meta business site to manychat, but in the message templates on meta, I can't find the message template from manychat. Partners app not appearing. Free version, does it matter?  Sequence: Facebook ad redirects to Messenger, you have three questions to choose from. Depending on which one you click, ManyChat will send the answer.

Ok, so ChatGPT says i can create “admin commands” for within the live chat that trigger automation, and surface buttons, but only to me, not the person the live chat is with. However, whatever commands will apply to them, like changing stages. I cant get it to work and I also cant find anything else online (or here) about it… Is ChatGPT lying to me?

Hi there!New to Many Chat and trying to figure it out (from someone who is a technologically challenged!).I manage an accommodation business, and I’d like to build a database of emails from people who either sign up, or who have stayed with us and opted to sign up, so I can send them newsletters and offers in the future.I’d like to run a giveaway competition on Insta and Facebook to build interest and get people to sign up this way.I’ve no idea how to do this on Many Chat, and then when people do sign up, where do their email addresses go?  How do I store them and use them (legally?) without breaching anyone’s data?Many thanks in advance, I have zero idea what I am doing here……!!

Hi, Since the app was updated I can no longer see “Assigned to me” or get unassigned chats. I just see everyones chats now in my inbox although the desktop version is fine. Is there an update due?

 Below is my setup. My ideal workflow is to include a link in email broadcast, when user click, will direct to Instagram message and trigger the workflow.However, after clicking the link, it open Instagram message but didn’t trigger the flow. The Action node & Send Message node both didn’t execute.I’ve did some research in the forum but cannot find any clue, and I appreciate any sort of help in advance! Thank you!

I’m honestly thinking about shutting most of my ManyChat automations off for now. Over the past couple of weeks I’ve had automations randomly fire in the middle of real conversations with people. Someone will reply to a story or send a message and suddenly an old funnel message jumps in even though that funnel is already turned off.It’s starting to interfere with real conversations with potential clients, which obviously isn’t ideal.Has anyone else run into this? I’m considering simplifying everything down to one trigger for now while I figure out what’s causing it.

I would like to send some promotional message to my customer outside 24 hours. What is the best way for me to reengage with them and informing all my contacts about our new promotions?Can I invite them to subscribe to our messenger list for promo & updates and send them broadcast related to our new promotion package using this messenger list in the future?Or I can only use marketing message feature to send promotion related mesaage although they have subscribed to our messenger list for promo & updates?Is messenger list function allowed to use for braoadcasting  marketing message to customer outside 24 hours?
