Good day, everyone. I encountered a problem while using AI Step in the evening. Does anyone know how I can give a task or a example flow to AI Step to stop in the morning? I already used a condition for a task to proceed to the next step flow, but it doesn’t work. Thank you!
this is the sample logic i mean:
if evening == true
if else morning == false
any solutions?
Hi!
It's hard to think on something without more details… however, maybe setting a condition up in the flow that directs to other blocks in the morning time (or at any specific time you want) could help in this situation.
Would be something like this, using the Current time condition:
After that, you can make flows without AI Steps or even set custom prompts/ instructions for each time period to a custom field and include it into your AI Step.
Hey, thanks for your reply. However, we’ve already tried that condition, and it doesn’t work. We have a few clients who chat on our page, and when they stop chatting and come back the next day, AI Step still keeps replying to them every morning. Even when we set up just three tasks, it’s still not working. We’ve also tried using the input text field to proceed with the condition, but AI Step only moves to the other flow after collecting all the information. In short, client conversations get stuck in AI Step, and they won’t end. it’s only end conversation if the client says “thank you”.
Right now, we’ve temporarily replaced it with a text block to handle our customers in the evening, but we still want to rely on AI Step. We hope you can add more options to AI Step in the future.

That should work as it is…
Have you tried this approach (separated conditions)?

sir we try your recommend condition but still not working. the AI STEP is keep interacting to a conversation we are now frustrating.
That's really a strange behavior…
I would suggest getting in contacts with the support team opening a ticket at https://help.manychat.com/
Maybe they can look further to give some guidance on how to prevent this.
If the user is already in the AI step, the time condition won’t trigger and the AI step will continue to try to fulfill its objective.
There’s not much you can do about it, once the person is in the AI step you lose a bit of control of the conversation.
If you really need to sort this out you need to create more complex solutions, like using Assistants API and a custom setup in Manychat.
