Trying to run an automation so that when someone comments on a post on Instagram they are entered into a giveaway, but having some issues.
It worked the first time I commented (on my clients post), and sent the message as set out in initial flow split 1, but when I commented a second time it did not send another message/update their count.
I also set up a secondary automation that when they get tagged as having entered the giveaway it will send a message and get them to confirm their email, but this also didn’t come through for me.
Initial Flow looks like the following:
- trigger (comment on instagram post)
- action (set user field: increase mentions by 1)
- condition (tag is giveaway_entry - this is where is splits)
split 1 - doesn’t match conditions (this is working)
- add tag (giveaway_entry)
- send message, with discount code and button to site to shop
split 2 - already tagged as giveaway_entry (this one is not working)
- send message thanking them for another comment/entry into giveaway
Secondary flow
- trigger (contact event occurs: tag applied)
- send message
- action (update or create contact in klaviyo)
Any advice on where I could be going wrong with this greatly appreciated. First time using Manychat.
