Hello! From what I understand, both deleting and unsubcribing a contact have a similar effect: once done, they’re no longer an active contact and you don’t have to pay for their presence in your base. However, when you delete a contact you lose them permanently, while when you unscribe them you still have their infos, but you can no longer send them messages.

Which of the two options do you use the most? 

Which one usually works best for your strategy? Or are differences too irrelevant?

@pynchon I usually try to get the contact on more than one channel (get their Whatsapp and email for example), so I can still contact them. And on Messenger I try to get them subscribed to a DM list.

So I still think the best strategy is to think of the long term relationship and make sure each contact is there for the long term.

In the few cases where my clients ask to delete to keep costs low, I export their info (to a CRM or Google Sheet) and then delete them.
