Hi everyone, I hope somebody can help me with the issue that I have on making a Facebook Lead form Ads- Manychat- Zapier integration. I encountered an error while I was trying to hook up Facebook Lead Form input from a lead form submission towards Manychat so I can send 30 day nurturing sequence (Bible Verses) via Whatsapp SMS. So On the FB Ads Lead form, we were collecting the following information: First Name, email address and phone number and we currently have a Messaging sequence set-up in Manychat that is being used organically where they message a keyword. however I am getting this error (Screenshot 2 & 3). Our goal is to subscribe those who opt-in from the Facebook Ad Lead form so they can receive the 30 Day Whatsapp SMS via Manychat. I also am trying to figure out how to connect it to trigger the following action events in Manychat because each of these action events that can be selected on Zapier with their Manychat integration

  • “Subscribe user to sequence”

  • “Add a Tag to user”

  • “Create a subscriber” (Screenshot 2)

only allows IF THEY ARE ALREADY A current subscriber in Manychat from either Instagram, Messenger, Whatsapp, or Telegram previous Manychat flows. (requires a user ID/sequence ID) (Since we are using FB Lead form as an entry point) so I am kind of lost there on how to properly make it work.
Questions:
1. Should I set-up a separate Messaging -Whatsapp campaign instead of using FB Lead form ad?
2. Or have another delivery email where there's a growth tool referral link to trigger the sequence instead?
3. Would it still work just using the Zapier integration alone?


I appreciate your recommendations and ideas for a possible work around. Thanks in advance 😄

 

Hi Mary, I encounter the same issue, did you find a solution?

Create a Subscriber does not require a User ID, you'll be creating a new subscriber and then using the ID on the reply for the next steps (subscriber to sequence for example).

Once you have this running, you need to setup logic for people already on your list (for example, someone who subscribed before and submitted the form again). For that you'll need to use the API and the find Subscriber methods: https://api.manychat.com/swagger#/
