Hi everyone,

I recently connected ManyChat to my Facebook Messenger for my business page, but before even sending any messages, my account was restricted by Meta due to suspected automation issues. They cited automation violations, but I hadn’t run any chat sequences yet.

Has anyone faced a similar issue, or can you provide advice on how to resolve this and stay compliant with Meta’s guidelines? Any insights would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance!

Hi, @afmnaieem!

This seems just like a sad coincidence. Manychat does comply with Meta's guidelines. And if you never set an automation up, just binding both platforms shouldn't cause this issue.

I had similar problems to accounts that never used automation tools. In some cases, an uncommon increase of interactions (because of a selling campaign) made it look like bots were taking control. 😅

Check if nothing “anormal” occurred in the last days to that account.

In any case, get in touch with Meta's support to verify and recover your page.

Hi, sorry about my english. I Think isn’t a coincidence. I have the same problem. Meta say: 'We restricted your business,' but the worst part is that within the reasons for the restriction, it says: 'Examples of things we do not allow: Automations that mimic human activity. Automations that diminish authentic human activity.'

Regards.

There's a chance for automations cause this kind of restriction. If you automate Post/Reel comments and define just a few similar automated replies to the comments, it can be tagged as automated content.

If you have a high amount of your public that interacts with your profile, better leave the automated replies tuned off.
