HelloI am developing a conversation flow with AI Step that is activated with a trigger (a specific word)After the AI step I would like to add another action either Set User Field or External Request or a message.Althought I connect the AI step with the next ordinal step, I see that it last do not run. In other words I do not know what kind of trigger I need to use for the step after AI step.Anyone have provided adding another step after AI Step? Any trouble? Thanks for your comments and help

@Daniel Mendoza the steps after the AI step will only run after the AI step is completed.

So, for example, if you give the AI step the objective to capture email and phone, the flow will only proceed when the email and phone have been captured. Until then the person will be in the AI step running and the flow won’t proceed.

Hope this helps!

Hi Gustavo thanks for you help! You were right and I was able to run the AI to the next step.

And how do you make ist go to the next steps then?
My AI is only instructed to answer a question. That’s it.

This has to be one of the worst step designs of all time… for example I want to use this AI step to route on certain triggers - and then set a certain variable based on that.  However, it just hangs up and never does anything

@kwmanychat The AI step is designed to help Manychat users easily set up AI to have conversations with their audience.

If you need to classify the question you can use other tools. For example, the ChatGPT integration, AI intentions, or custom integration to OpenAI (this is the option we've been using with our clients over the past couple of years).

I agree with you in the sense that the AI Step can be improved, but in your particular case, it's likely you're just using the wrong tool for the job...

I looked at the message intent idea - and decided that the coupling of this to the actual trigger is likely to cause me more problems then actually help in my case.  But given this is called AI step - i’d think it would be able to understand instructions a bit more cognizantly.

I guess I expected the step to behave more like how a zapier step might.  Where you can have a pretty defined outcome / variable and it knows to move on.

I will try the other tool and report back

Maybe as we get further into this journey I will look into how to use it to prequalify leads via something more conversational vs. filling out an application directly on our website. We try to move people out of the DM’s as fast as possible because its pretty hard to manage. But we could also explore whether as we go through and refactor our automations if we can make the live chat more manageable.

@kwmanychat what are you selling? And how complex is your lead qualification process?

@Gustavo Boregio it isn’t very complex - we basically have an application - or we have a free masterclass which they watch and either they bite or they don’t and they are in our email funnels

@kwmanychat  got it!
I suggest you use the ChatGPT integration and do a classifier prompt that replies with specific keywords. From there you can direct the person to your pre-made automations. ;)

Yep that is what we did! The refactor is coming along nicely now!  Do you have any resources on some of the more advanced setups like folks in the life coaching / wellness type spaces using it? Or best practices for seeding information to it etc
