When a customer leaves a comment containing a characteristic keyword on a post, how is a DM sent to the customer? Is it the customer's email or a reply to a comment on the post?

To do that, you have two options:

 

  1. Quick automation
  2. Flow Builder

 

The first option (Quick Automation) is more intuitive, the second option (Flow Builder) allows you to “schedule” the automation to the next post or reel.

 

How it works

 

When you’re creating an automation to auto-reply to comment in DM, you have to choose the trigger

 

 

  1. Select “user comments on your post or reel 

 

  1. You can choose one of these options: Specific Post or Reel, All Posts or Reels or Next Post or Reel

 

  1. Choose the keyword(s) that your audience has to comment to activate the automation. Example: “START25”. You can also choose activate the automation with all comments.

 

  1. Here, you can write some comments responses that will be sent automatically by Manychat or choose not to send at all.

 

  1. Create your first message. When a user comment your post or reel, this is the first message they receive. You must send it as comment reply.

 

 

  1. After your first message, you can send another message with more information, buttons (up to 3) or quick replies (up to 11).

 

For this example, I choose the Flow Builder.
