Hi, I’m a beginner here. I am trying to build a lead gen flow that pre-qualifies the user. I am using Whatsapp as the channel. If I add a button to a whatsapp text message, how do I store the answer they selected as a custom user field? Example scenario:

The Whatsapp message says “please select the dental treatment you are interested in” > the user selects option A
How do I store that answer to the user’s contact data?

Worth noting that I won’t collect the users contact info until the end of the sequence.

In Whatsapp you already have their number, so not necessary to do it there.

If you’re going to ask for the phone number, it populates the number only in Messenger.

This is a Meta feature/restriction, not Manychat’s

Hey @chazchenko simply add an Action block after the button click, setting the User Field to whatever value you want.

Thanks @Gustavo Boregio  - what about if I want them to confirm their phone number without them typing it in? Does manychat pick up their phone number that can be auto collected?
