how to disable the manychat shotened url in the message

Hi dear, I select disable, but not works, any idea ?

Hey, @praneethm & @XTR ARG

You can disable it going to settings > General and click on My.Manychat.com

Be aware that Manychat will not be able to provide the Click-Through Rate (CTR) data.

Also, if you want to track your CTR, you can put a button title like this 👇🏼 and your URL in the website URL field.

Hi, I don’t want the ManyChat domain to show, I want my own domain instead. Is it possible to change it?

Hi, is there a way to redirect or mask the ManyChat domain so it shows my own domain instead? If not, is there any technical workaround to achieve this?

Also, in automations using AI, does the AI detect the language of the question and reply automatically in the same language? Thanks!

Hey, @baker1992

To disable the URL redirect you have to go to settings > General and click on My.Manychat.com

About your second question, when you use AI, you have to write a prompt to let AI know to recognize the language.

I want to clarify that my goal is to redirect the URL to my website without "my.manychat.com" showing. I tried as you suggested, but it’s still visible. Could you confirm if this is possible or if there’s another solution? Thanks

@baker1992

There is no other way to do that.

If it doesn’t work, you should contact Manychat Support team: https://help.manychat.com/hc/en-us/p/get_support_page

They’ll be happy to help you! 🙂

So, there’s no way to have the data without showing "my.manychat.com"? What is this technically called?

Thanks.

Hey @baker1992 are you using WhatsApp by any chance?

If so, the link shortener option will not work for WhatApp. If you want to send a link in WhatsApp, it has to be with the Manychat shortened link.

This is a known issue/feature by the Manychat team and it’s been reported. Hopefully they’ll push a fix soon!

Hi, no worries, I’ve already done it. All good, thanks.

A few questions:

  1. I have a WordPress site and want to use ManyChat AI so the chatbot can answer everything from my site—prices, products, about us, everything. How can I do that easily?
  2. If that’s too complicated, how can I add all the info from my site into ManyChat’s AI?
  3. If I buy a WhatsApp Business number, can I take it with me later if I want?

Hey, @baker1992

At the moment, Manychat doesn’t allow you to have a website widget, but you can vote here:

If you buy a WhatsApp number through Manychat, that number phone number provided by Manychat will be permanently lost if you remove the WhatsApp channel.

Hi,

How can I add all the information from my website into ManyChat’s AI?

Also, is it possible to connect my own WhatsApp Business number?

Thanks!

@baker1992 at the moment it’s not possible to have WhatsApp Business and WhatsApp API (Manychat). So you can use the number you have, but you’ll need to disconnect it from the Business App to connect it to Manychat. (There’s a beta allowing co-existence of both, but I don’t think there’s a public timeline as to when it’ll be released for all).

As for training your website with Manychat’s AI, you’ll need to curate a prompt on your own (outside Manychat). You can use ChatGPT and other tools to scrape your site and create a prompt tailored for your business.

Hope this helps!
Gus

Actually, it’s the other way around—I want to train ManyChat AI with all the info from my website. Where and how do I input the exact prompt?

Thanks!
