Hey!

I’m trying to figure out how to make sure contacts coming from ManyChat are marked as “subscribed” in Klaviyo. Right now, they all show up as unsubscribed on my main list, so Klaviyo doesn’t send emails to them.

I even tried creating a new list in Klaviyo without double opt-in, but no luck — they’re still coming in unsubscribed.

Has anyone figured out how to pass contacts from ManyChat to Klaviyo with proper consent so they’re eligible for email sends?

How are you sending your contacts to Klaviyo? With the Manychat’s native integration or via HTTP requests?

I made a test using the Manychat’s native integration and it worked. 

Have you tried to contact the Klaviyo support about this issue?


Hey! I’m sending them through the native integration in Manychat. I haven´t contacted Klaviyo support so far.


@flaviosciaraffia The Klaviyo native integration in Manychat is working properly, at least on my side. I’d try contacting Klaviyo’s support to understand why this is happening because if you disable the double opt-in, your contacts shouldn’t be marked as “unsubscribed.”


To be precise, they are coming in as “never subscribed”. I understand that I can still email them, but in any case is I think is the wrong status considering they opted in through manychat.


@flaviosciaraffia I suggest that you to contact Klavyio’s support team so they can be able to check what’s happening.


FYI, The integration between ManyChat and Klavyio is broken and not updated (which is making this extra tricky). According to MC support, the best way to get ManyChat to fix this is to upvote these topics! It’s been broken for at least 10 months, so it would be lovely to have it fixed. If you are here because your Klavyio connection isn’t working as you hoped - the integration failure may be part of that. Upvote this and any other Klavyio threads you come across!)
