I have two automations;

  1. A lead magnet delivery, with follow up
  2. A questionnaire, triggered by Dm

Currently, people are subscribing to the lead magnet, then also subscribing to the questionnaire - but the automations are clashing and sending all messages.

I can’t find a condition to “Stop Automation X” that I can place in both automations to stop the other one if the contact enters it. I can see “Unsubscribe From Sequence”

Surely this is basic basic basic marketing automation. Don’t tell me I have to tag users entering an automation, then recheck the tag at every single step to pull them out if they have entered the other one?

Hey @Jason_Broderick you have to setup tags and conditions to ensure the automation works the way you want.

For example, with a setup like the one below, you can make it so that the person only gets the message ‘Here’s the content’ once:

You’ll have to set logic like this across the multiple flows and triggers that you have, and you’ll be able to achieve your desired behaviour.

If you need help setting this up feel free to book a troubleshooting call here: https://gusboregio.com

@Jason_Broderick apply tag at your first automation, then check condition in your other flow.for any help feel free to Dm me

This sucks, why isn’t there a “Stop Automation” action like there is with every other marketing automation platform. This tagging workaround only works as someone enters the automation, or else you have to build in a check at every single step. For example if someone is in the middle of a 10 step automation and they trigger another automation - in order to stop the previous one I would have to build in a tag check condition at every single step. And what if I have 3 potential automations - now I have to build in two sets of tag checks at every step.

Instead of just having one single “Stop Automation” action at the start of the 2nd automation.

Manaychat isn’t good software… It’s just popular. There are a lot of bugs and issues like this.
