I have been using ManyChat automation for about a year. On my Instagram page, an average of 1,000 people message me daily, and the automation replies to them. However, for the past two weeks, I’ve been experiencing an issue. My ability to send direct messages on Instagram has been banned twice in a row. The reason stated is: "Something you sent in a conversation violated our community standards."

The first time I was banned, it lasted 3 days. After the ban was lifted, I could send messages again, but three days later, I was banned again, and this time it lasted 7 days. Currently, I am unable to send messages to anyone for 7 days.

I have a verified account with 250k followers. Because of the verification, I was able to request a direct consultation, and during the meeting, I was advised to remove ManyChat. How is this possible? Does this mean I can no longer use ManyChat?

I have been using ManyChat for about a year. I only send automatic replies to incoming messages. I haven’t even sent a message to anyone who hasn’t messaged me first. What is the reason for this ban? Is it really because of ManyChat? Can someone help me?

@zel123 my bet would be that some people may have reported your page as Spam/Scam etc.

Check IG’s community guidelines and see if there’s any way that the content you’re sending could be against any of their terms.

Also check if there are any parts of the automations that some people may not like, and tweak it.

And lastly, try to ‘cool off’ for a couple of weeks - send less messages, or see what’s the difference between your recent content vs your previous content.

I work with 1M+ accounts with Manychat and there are no issues. So the automation in itself is not the problem. I’d look at the content mostly to try to find the root of the problem.

Echoing Gustavo above, it’s not necessarily manychat but something you have in the messages you created inside of Manychat. I'm not saying you’re doing this, but an example I’ve seen done before is when people put links in the text box instead of using buttons. Meta typically flags you as spam and restricts you. I would look into Meta/Instagram community guidelines and policies to make sure you’re following those.
