Hi all, 

I’m trying to import a csv contact list on my Manychat account but when I click on “import” button in contacts section i got this error message: “Permission denied. Please contact support to enable this feature”

anyone can help me?

Hello Cisco994. Did you find a solution on this? I have the same problem.


You should be seeing this:

 

If you aren’t seeing this, first make sure that you’re the account Admin (or preferably, the owner).

And if all fails, send a screenshot of what you’re seeing plus your account ID (you can copy the URL on your page) to support@manychat.com. You can also do a quick loom video, these are great for helping CS understand the problem.

They’ll be able to assist and guide you to get your issue sorted.


Are you using a pro account? you should be using one.

If you are, then see what role do you have? if you’re a live agent, you can’t do it.

If all that doesn’t work, maybe a ticket to support.

 


hi ​@Cisco994  and all, I’ve also encountered in the same issue. I saw “Request approval” appeared next to import contacts, and so I asked Manychat Bot about it. And this is the answer:


The 'request approval' message appears because we manually enable the Import feature to prevent fraudulent activity. This is a security measure we've implemented to protect our users and ensure proper use of the platform. To get the import feature enabled on your account, you'll need to submit a ticket to our support team requesting approval. You can do this by visiting https://app.manychat.com/support/features. Once approved, you'll be able to import contacts from CSV files for SMS, Email, WhatsApp, and Telegram channels.
