Hello everyone. I’m trying to finalize my Instagram automation, but I’ve encountered an issue. When I comment on a post or an ad, the automation doesn’t trigger. My goal is for the automation to activate and send a DM to the user’s Instagram inbox whenever someone comments on any post or a specific post.

 

Note: I have already tested sending direct messages from the inbox (not on a post), and the automation starts without any issues.

 

I’m attaching a screenshot of how I set up the automation flow.

​@Charlie Boy Productions first make sure that the message you’re sending is set as ‘Comment Reply’ and not as a standard message.

Next, I’d separate triggers from Default Reply, Comments and Ads. Even if you’re sending the same message every time, these triggers have different ‘rules’ so it’s convenient to keep them separate (one flow per trigger). When you do that it’ll be easier to Manychat to point out if there’s any setting necessary for that specific trigger.
