I’d like to share an issue I’m experiencing while trying to integrate a phone number for use via the WhatsApp API through Manychat.
Initially, when attempting to integrate the phone number for the first time, we encountered a problem—the verification code from Meta never arrived due to an issue with our device. Once we resolved the device issue, we attempted to finish the integration process. However, since it took us some time to fix the problem, the browser did not function properly when requesting a new code. As a result, we decided to restart the process.
To ensure a clean setup, I went to Business Manager, deleted the WhatsApp Account, and started the integration again from Manychat. However, just before reaching the step where we request the verification code, an error message appeared stating:
"The selected commercial portfolio has the following restrictions, which may affect your ability to create or modify WhatsApp Business accounts."
We attempted the process multiple times, but the error remained the same. We also contacted Meta Support, but they confirmed there were no active restrictions on the account. They advised us to verify the Business Manager to see if that would resolve the issue, which we have done—but the error persists.
Today, after checking the WhatsApp Business Account (WABA), I noticed this message related to the issue. “This account was disabled because the website indicated in your Business Manager profile does not contain the necessary information to determine that your business complies with our Commerce Policy”. Has anyone encountered a similar problem before? If so, how were you able to resolve it?
I’d appreciate any insights or suggestions.
