Hey! I have people commenting all my pics with trigger words, which will generate a comment reply to DM. As I want to use it across all posts, is there an option somehow to add a limit how many comment replies Manychat can send to the same account in let’s say one day/hour? Manychat is super useful but without a limit it looks very spammy. Could you please help what’s the best way how to work around this without disabling the feature from all the posts and setting them up manually with different trigger words?

What does this “Last interaction” mean - could this help? Is it interaction between my account and his account?

Hi, @noravaher!

The easiest way to implement it would be something like this:

  • Create a TAG
  • Right after the triggers, set a condition checking if the contact has the tag
    • If YES = Smart delay waiting the amount of time you wish + Action removing the tag
    • If NO = Apply the tag and continue your flow
  • OPTIONAL: you can include a Smart Delay + Remove Tag at the end of your flow. This will make your contact trigger work as normal after the time you define.

PS: The Last Interaction in Instagram is the Date/Time of the contact's last interaction (likes, comments, DMs or any kind of actions with your account).

Thank you @Fabio Gaulke, let me try this out! I just implemented however such feature,  isn’t this helping? I was assuming that this condition means that it will message, in case there hasn’t been any previous messages within the last 24h. Is that wrong then?

That won't work as you expect…
The 24h Windows works like this:

  • Using an external tool (Manychat in our case), you can't initiate a conversation with your contacts
    • The way to do it is via Triggers/keywords, but the contact has to take the initiative.
  • After a contact starts a conversation with your account, the 24h windows opens.
    • IMPORTANT: for Comment on Post/Reel, the first message in the automation doesn't open the window. A contact interaction is still necessary.
  • The window closes after 24h without any further message from the contact.
  • So, if you set a delay for 24h or more and there's a possibility that the contact hasn't send anything… the flow will not continue delivering any messages.

In other words, your first condition waits until the 24h window is closed and nothing more will be delivered.
