Hi! This morning, I ran two automations on one IG post for people to 1) pre-order my book (by commenting keyword “book25”) and 2) buy tickets to my book tour (by commenting keyword “tour25”). I created these as two separate automations in the ManyChat interface. Unfortunately I encountered an error…

When someone commented “book25” they received the correct message, and when someone commented “tour25” they received the correct message. HOWEVER, if someone commented “book25 AND tour25,” they only received the corresponding message for ONE of the keywords (usually the first one in the sequence). Why was this the case? Is it possible to run two automations on one post, so that people can receive BOTH responses?

I am hoping to run more automations this week and don’t want to run into the same issue!

Thank you!

Hey, @manychatqs!

This is a Meta restriction… An user can only trigger one automation per post. This means that once a user sends the first keyword and triggers the automation…. that's it. No more keywords can trigger in the same post.

I'd suggest you adjust your automation flow to just one trigger (for example, book25) and offer the tour after some time with some wait step.

Hope this helps...
