Trying to connect whatsapp to a Custom GPT through Pabbly connect

Hi

I’m trying to connect whatsapp to a Custom GPT through Pabbly connect

I’m a newbie… 

 

Here’s how the flow works:

 

1. Receiving the Message on WhatsApp: The user sends a message on WhatsApp, which is handled by ManyChat.

 

2. ManyChat Webhook to Pabbly Connect: ManyChat sends the details of the WhatsApp message to Pabbly Connect via a webhook.

 

3. Pabbly Connect Sends the Message to XYZ CUSTOM GPT: Pabbly Connect takes the received message and sends it to the ChatGPT API endpoint XYZ CUSTOM GPT.

 

4. XYZ CUSTOM GPT Processes the Message:  generates a response based on the received message.

 

5. Sending the Response to ManyChat: The response generated by XYZ CUSTOM GPT is sent back to ManyChat via Pabbly Connect.

 

6. ManyChat Sends the Response to the User on WhatsApp: ManyChat takes the response and sends it to the user on WhatsApp.

    Hey @Mcaldarini how far did you get, and where are you having issues exactly?

    I've connected Manychat to OpenAI's completions and Assistants APIs multiple times using a direct integration between Manychat and OpenAI (using external requests and logic in Manychat). I've not tried it with Pabbly though.

    If you let us know how far you got and where you're having issues we can probably help you debug it.

    No, I connected to an Assistants API. As far as I know we can't connect Custom GPTs to APIs, you have to do that through Assistants API.

     

    I asked ChatGPT to explain the difference to me, here's the short version:

    And no, I can do Spanish and Portuguese, but not Italian haha :D

    what is Assistant api for?

    It’s almost the same as customs GPTs, but available through the API so you can connect it to other software (like Manychat)
