Variable is not working

Hi, I am trying to collect names from IG Automation. So I try to ask leads about their name, then save their name to custom field, then later on I put down the custom field (the variable), the saved information (which is the name of the lead) will be shown.

However, it only shows the code of the custom field. I tried to change the name of the custom field to see whether it will work or not, but it can’t.

Do you know why? Did I put down anything which causes this issue? Thank you.

User Fields do not display properly when you preview inside Manychat.

To see them working properly, you need to run the automation in the actual messaging application (Messenger, WhatsApp, Instagram, etc).

Same problem here. Input data only save to system variables, not user ones.

Kind of a problem when exporting other custom user variables to google sheets.

ΒΏDid you find a solution?

@superpin98 you can also save input data to user fields, you just need to select/create the user field.

Hi Gustavo,

I tried it, the variables still do not show up in the conversation, do you know is there any possibility that causes the variables not working?

Try adding a 1 second delay before the "Hey {leads_name}" message, see if this works.
