Hey guys why might this image be showing on computer view when we send a ref url on IG?
I just came here to post the same thing! Been happening for 2 days. Confusing my followers like crazy!
i did discover 1 thing, the guys profile is /m which is in the ref url link so that might be why
https://www.facebook.com/m
This is the exact same thing that’s started happening to me!! I submitted a support ticket but they’re not acknowledging it’s an issue so I’m so glad I discovered this:
My ticket, for reference:
I am trying to use a ref url trigger but it keeps redirecting me to the profile of a specific instagram user instead of triggering a DM inside the conversation I am targeting.
nxxxxxx example ref url redacted xxxxx]
Keeps redirecting me to the profile of this facebook user:
or this instagram user:
https://www.instagram.com/m
This is not an issue regarding conversation starters, I am testing with an account that has many ongoing conversations.
This is also not an issue with desktop - I am using the Instagram Mobile app for testing.
I have also tried chaging the REF, disabling the custom REF and using the default, and I have tried using a 3rd party redirect tool through a custom url redirect app:
Also, ref urls don't seem to be working for me directly from my instagram profile Link? Is that expected? It seems that no ig.me urls are clickable when added as the profile link?
Do you know how we can get in touch with the actual Manychat team and get updates on this?
Hey
Although I’m not sure this is something Manychat can do anything about, since the rendering is being done by Meta…
If you opened a ticket back then, you should have a ticket ID and they should send you updates on it.
So i cant use a button because im sending out a blast to my IG dm list and i want to use an ref url to start a flow from it (buttons cant start a flow from it, only direct to a website)
- This is not a ManyChat issue, it’s a Meta issue
- There is no timeline for a fix although they have raised it
- They won’t be keeping my support tickets open as it’s their policy to close any tickets that have no resolution timeline
thank you for sharing
