Hello,
I hope you're doing well.
I’m encountering an issue with my current automation setup and would appreciate your assistance:
Here’s the flow I have:
-
I trigger a ManyChat automation when a user sends a message to my Facebook page.
-
This automation sends data to Make.com, where a GPT assistant processes the conversation.
-
After processing, I trigger a second ManyChat automation to send a reply back to the user.
The problem:
Even when a live human admin joins the conversation and sends a manual reply to the user (via Messenger or ManyChat Inbox), the ManyChat automation continues sending automated messages afterwards.
I would like ManyChat to detect when a human admin has taken over the conversation and automatically pause or stop the bot responses, allowing only the admin to manage the conversation manually from that point.
What I’ve tried:
-
I reviewed flow settings but could not find an option to automatically pause automation when a human message is sent.
-
I am looking for a way for ManyChat to pause or stop responding automatically when a manual admin message is sent.
Could you please advise:
-
Is there a best practice or a built-in method to detect human agent participation and stop the bot?
-
If not directly available in settings, is there a recommended workaround (e.g., using tags, custom fields, or other methods)?
-
How can I integrate this pause functionality cleanly into my current Make.com integration without disrupting the automated flow too much?
Thank you very much in advance for your help.
I’m looking forward to your advice to ensure a seamless experience for our users when a live agent steps in.
Best regards
