IG 24h Rule: How to Send Weekly Follow-Up Messages in ManyChat?

Hi everyone, quick IG automation question.

I’m trying to send weekly follow-up DMs for 4 weeks (non-sales, relationship-based), but I keep hitting the 24h rule. I often receive follow-up messages from other IG accounts, so I know it’s possible — but I can’t get it to work.

I don’t see Instagram Marketing Messages in my ManyChat settings, and “Wait until” / Smart Delay doesn’t send messages outside the 24h window.

Can anyone clarify what setup actually allows weekly IG follow-ups and whether this requires Marketing Message opt-in or special account access? Thanks! 😃

Hey @MK_2024 the accounts currently doing this were all included in a Beta from Meta that ended about 2 years ago - and since then no one else has been accepted to it.

It’s called DM Lists, and if you’re not on the Beta already, there’s no way for you to use it.

The alternatives you have are to use other channels (Email or SMS).

Hope this helps!

Thanks so much, Gustavo. I heard of DM Lists, and was wondering where I could find it, but then I know now it is closed.
