Hi Everyone,

I'm looking to optimize my messaging budget and would love to get your insights on a challenge I'm facing. I have a substantial number of subscribers on my WhatsApp bot in my Manychat account. As many of you know, sending messages outside the 24-hour window on WhatsApp incurs additional costs.

On the other hand, I also have a Telegram bot connected to the same business. Telegram offers the advantage of no time restrictions for message sending and is completely free.

Given this situation, I'm considering strategies to encourage my WhatsApp subscribers to migrate over to the Telegram bot. I'd love to hear your thoughts on the best approach for this transition.

What strategies would you recommend to make this shift smooth and effective? Has anyone else faced a similar challenge, and how did you handle it? Any tips or ideas would be greatly appreciated!

Looking forward to your suggestions and discussion.

Thanks!

@Vadim Ciobanu is your audience already in Telegram?

If not, most of them will not download Telegram just to talk to your business.

Marketing is about being where your audience is.

Whatsapp costs are pretty reasonable for real profitable businesses (and a lot less expensive than Ads for example).

👆 This.

If your audience isn't using Telegram, you must be extremely special in order to convince them moving to other tool.

And if the current WhatsApp costs are a problem to your business, review your strategy and business model.

Maybe you're relying on sending marketing templates to cold leads. This kind of strategy can burn a lot of money without any return… In case you have good leads, it's possible to create utility templates to send additional information to them. It costs much less than marketing templates…

Also… Some time ago Meta made Utility templates even cheaper and since this month (november 2024) service messages will be totally free: https://developers.facebook.com/docs/whatsapp/pricing/updates-to-pricing/

(there's even good news for next year)
