Auto-DM New Followers Feature - Need Help Connecting Account

Yes I have this exact issue. I do have a support ticket in with Manychat so will report back if I manage to get any information. I think there are others affected by this too

I have the same issue as well.

I tried to connect last week in a videocall with my client. He was getting this exact same issue.

He has all permissions and access to the IG profile via the Business Manager. So I don’t get why is he unable to perform the connection.

We need the team to provide a solution to this.

Try updating the URL.

Replace IG by FB. If i remember well you need to change it twice in the URL.

It worked for me.

The one you are redirected to when you try to connect your instagram account with your business suite account

I tried copying the URL, and I changed where it said “instagram” and replaced it with “facebook” and then got this error when I hit enter. ​@Moz ​@Mel E

Hey I just figured this out. Took me multiple attempts. There are 2 places where you must change the IG in the redirect page to FB instead of IG

I highlighted my redirect link to give the example. 

if you copy and paste the link for the page where it wants you to connect via instagram, then exchange these 2 places where it says IG with the initials FB, then paste into your browser it should work!

Thank you ​@thejenniferwaters Yes I tried this, and I got all the way to the point where it said Manychat successfully connected with Meta. Then when it redirected me back to Manychat and I clicked on the New Follower automation, it asked me to Update my Permissions again and threw me back in the same loop… Did I miss something?

​@magicman007 oh man, i’m sorry that stinks. :( no i didnt do anything else special other than that. it did take me several times doing it so im not sure if that changes anything?

Also had a customer try the URL edit fix and it did not work.

Running into this error too. Tried to do the IG>FB swap in the url and it’s still giving us the run around.
