I have set up new keywords and ensured they are are on, but nothing happens when I type them.
I've been doing this for several months now and the old triggers all work, but the new ones (or at least some new ones) do not trigger.

Then, go to Automation > Keywords and check your keywords list. Look for any other keywords that may also trigger the text you entered (something like 'contains ref'). Keywords are evaluated from top to bottom, so if there's a match higher up, this will be the automation that will trigger.
If there's no other keywords, try a more specific keyword to see if it triggers (for example, exactly 'xxxtest1234xxx' - I doubt that you'll have a keyword named that haha!)
If that still doesn't work, Refresh Permissions and try again.
And if still nothing, then you'll need to open a ticket with support at help.manychat.com
