Hey @Emill you can delete contacts when you’re on the PRO subscription, so if they’re no longer of interest to your business, go ahead and delete them
I do suggest you try multi-channel approaches and getting the emails and WhatsApp number, so you can continue contacting them in the future.
Hey, @Emill
Welcome to Manychat 🙌🏼
Regarding your question, it is totally possible to control your number of contacts and you have two options:
- Manually delete your contacts
Go to contacts tab → select all the contacts you want to eliminate → bulk actions → delete contacts
- Create an automation that works every time a contact is created
You have two options:
Using Default Reply or creating a rule.
Using default reply:
Go to settings → select the channel you use → Default reply (choose “create new reply”)
There, you’ll need to create an automation that will delete your contacts automatically. Example:
When someone sends you a message → wait 2 days → delete contact
Using a rule:
Go to automations tab → select “rules” → New rule
Trigger: New contact
Action: Delete contact
Using this option, you can build a simple automation to wait some days before deleting the contact, if not the contact is deleted right away.
Once you use keywords, the second option (using a rule) is the best for your situation.
Let me know if this helps 🙂

Hi everyone, I have a question about contact pricing. I'm hoping someone can help me.
So, is "opting out" of a contact the same as deleting it?
Because there are tutorials on YouTube that say so.
But it's been weeks since I opted out of most of my contacts, and the pricing hasn't changed.
Thanks...
Hey, @Badai Megan
You have to delete the contact to be able to reduce the monthly price.
