Hi everyone! I just pushed my first Manychat flow live 🙌  and am testing it in IG’s preview mode. The first part of it is working great, but I’m running into issues with the 23-hour SmartDelay.

Here is a screenshot of one “branch” of my flow. If the contact clicks my scheduling link, I tag them and send a message 20 seconds later -- that SmartDelay is working. But if they don’t respond, I want to send them a message 23 hours later. That message doesn’t seem to be sending.

In another part of the flow, I have something similar, except I ask for their email. In that case, I have the SmartDelay + follow-up message as a next step for everyone, whether they provide an email or not.

In testing, I’m not receiving any of the messages delayed by 23 hours. Any thoughts on what I’m doing wrong?

Thanks so much!

Hey, @kristenshoates

Can you share your full automation?
Maybe there is some problems due to the 24-hour window. You can check more info about the 24-hour window here: https://help.manychat.com/hc/en-us/articles/14281199732892-How-to-send-messages-outside-the-24-hour-and-7-day-windows-in-Messenger-and-Instagram

@rodrigo_silvano Thanks for your help! Sure thing, here are screenshots of the whole thing. I can’t think of how more than 24 hours would pass in any of these interactions, but maybe I’ll try reducing my SmartDelay to 20 hours and see if it fixes it. That could be the case since the 20-second delay is working.

Initial step

Pathway if someone selects “I’m not sure yet” on QuickReply

@rodrigo_silvano It doesn’t seem to be posting my whole automation in my reply. Here is the rest of it:

Pathway if someone selects “Yes, let’s chat” on QuickReply

Pathway if someone selects “Maybe later” on QuickReply

Ok @kristenshoates. The problem seems to be the 24-hour window.

When the user selects the option “I’m not sure yet,” for example, it opens the 24-hour window, and then another block message appears with a button containing a link. The smart delay is only triggered if the user clicks the “Book my free call” button.

Maybe between the first click and the end of the smart delay, more than 24 hours have passed.

Can you check the time you click the first button and the time that the smart delay have passed?

@rodrigo_silvano Thank you so much for pointing me in the right direction! I’m going to reduce the SmartDelay to 20 hours and see if it fixes it. Appreciate all your help!
