I'm trying to figure out the best way to manage tags within Manychat. Specifically, I want to store multiple tags inside a custom fields.

Has anyone successfully done this? If so, could you share your methods or any workarounds you've found? I'm looking for tips on how to structure the data, add/remove individual tags from the custom field, and potentially use that data for segmentation or conditional flows.

Any advice or examples would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!

@samar if you need to add/remove, then you'll need something external to handle this logic, since Manychat alone won’t do it.

For example, you could use an Array field to manage the tags, and add/remove as necessary.

The downside of that is that you can’t manipulate array fields in Manychat, so you need to do something external (for example, I have Make scenarios that will modify array values for me and return the modified values).

Another way to do is concatenating text in a user field. This makes it very easy to add values, but very difficult to remove values from the list (and if you’d like to remove, you’ll also need something external).

Hope this helps!
