Hi everyone,
I wanted to share my situation here and see if anyone has faced something similar.
Over the last month I’ve built a complete end-to-end Instagram DM automation funnel in ManyChat — not just a simple “DM me X for a freebie,” but a qualification system that:
- Asks structured qualifying questions,
- Applies conditions to decide whether I or my team should get on a call,
- Routes people into different Calendly links depending on their answers,
- Follows up with 3+ custom triggers based on their responses.
Basically, it does all the heavy lifting of qualifying leads inside Instagram DMs — so neither I nor my team need to spend hours managing messages manually. I designed this flow myself, thinking through every logical branch, and for the past 20–25 days it worked beautifully: I was getting 100+ DMs per day and closing 15+ calls, all without touching my inbox.
But since the last two days, it has stopped working completely.
- When someone new DMs me, the automation doesn’t trigger.
- It’s as if the contact isn’t recognized at all.
From my understanding, this comes down to a webhook delivery / API handshake issue:
- The only link between an incoming DM → and ManyChat → triggering my flow is the webhook from Meta to ManyChat.
- If delivery fails, it has to be either Meta not sending or ManyChat not processing.
- Meta has confirmed to me directly that there are no issues on their side (no GDPR restrictions, no account limitations).
- That leaves the ManyChat side — which seems to not be picking up the webhook deliveries
I’ve already tried all the standard fixes:
- Refreshed permissions,
- Reconnected the Page,
- Checked settings in Business Manager
- Waited on support (it’s been 2 days with only “we’re investigating”).
If anyone here has technical insight into webhook delivery or a workaround, I’d love your help.
And if anyone’s interested in how I built the funnel itself (with all the qualification logic, conditions, and triggers), happy to connect and share details — I really enjoyed creating it from scratch.
Thanks so much,
Rahul
