The current Instagram automation trigger for “story mentions” only occurs when someone tags your account on their story.
It would be cool to include (or have a unique trigger) for whenever someone simply reposts your content to their story even though they didn’t actually tagging your account.

Fully agree on this! Just contacted the support on this… I have maybe 1 person tagging me every 2 days while more than 500 mention me by sharing a reel every single day.
Than would be an amazing outreach to people who are showing they love our content!

I’m trying to build an automation for a contest/give away.
By having a trigger for a post/reel shared to someone’s story, it would really help engagement on said post by incentivizing people to share it so their audience sees it as well.
Currently, the only story mention trigger possible is if they directly tag with @
The Instagram story mention reply trigger will only activate if the mention begins with "@".
Same issue here! It would be really helpful to have this feature work for the reposted content. We spend too much time thanking people manually!
