Being able to have Delay, not by time but until contact’s reply.

Hi, @Vusal!

You actually can do it using the Data Collection block.

You just have to be aware of the 24h window rule and set the expiration before that in case you wish to do some follow-up.

to be more specific, I need message 1 to be wait until contact response after first message, and not clicking buttons. so if then do not use any button but text instead, so they can receive a message.

seems like there is no way to this, and Manychat is quite limited for basic functions.

@Vusal, this is a workaround you could set up.

  • TEST_FIELD_1 is just a custom user text field
  • The data collection (Message #6) has only a space for the text description and the answer is also stored in TEST_FIELD_1

Downside: the Data Collection will be listening for the time you set for expiration. This means the message will be sent even if the user taps on some button and sends free text at other point.

Therefore, I recommend setting it to 1 minute or even less.

Hope it helps!

Thanks for help Fabio!!!

Not ideal, and is not exactly what I need.

In case they click buttons on message 5, I do not want the message 6 is being send, which would be sent anyway with your set up.

Overall, I do not know why they closed this card since, the feature does not exist..They kind of avoid it.

This is so simple feature they miss. And all people are trying not efficient ways to get something similar.

Yes, could be much simpler…

Was thinking here... and you could add an additional Tag to the buttons and set it in the condition after the Data Collection:
