Create a website chat widget functionality (both a chat “bubble” in the bottom right and an embeddable box) that allows people to the option to live chat with the business without having to use Messenger, but provide Messenger as an option if they want to use it.
I think this is an absolute must for Manychat.
I also wonder what happened with this feature, because it has been the top rated feature on the Feature Requests of Manychat and it has the status “Planned” for over 4 years already.
This feature is now more important than ever as it looks like Meta will be sunsetting the customer chat widget (guest mode is already being depreciated)

True, Since the guest mode is already gone, the number of queries declined for a business with Genz users. Those guys do not use facebook messenger.
The independent website chat feature is A must.

It’s the lack of transparency that is concerning, supposedly planned 4 years ago in that time other platforms have introduced native chat widgets in rapid time. It doesn’t need to be perfect from the outset but its needs to be integrated quickly and we should be informed of a clear timeline of when that can be expected. The widgets going to disappear and we’ll have to explain to clients why a key entry point is no longer possible and what alternative solutions we can use in its place.
I want to avoid the scenario where a “omnichannel” widget is launched with referral links to external platforms like Messenger, WhatsApp, and Email. While such links may be beneficial in certain situations, they pose a risk of diverting users away from websites. The essence of chat widgets is to seamlessly complement the website experience. Just as we employ click-to-message ads to keep users within the same social environment, it's crucial for chat widgets to fulfill a similar role. Users visit our website with specific intentions, and our goal is to retain them. A native chat widget achieves this objective, whereas a widget with referral links might lead users astray.
Hi all!
Thank you all so much for the feedback you provided in this thread.
Many of you have extensively used the Chat Plugin, and we fully understand the impact this change may have.
After thorough analysis, we've decided to enhance our commitment to our messenger channel capabilities. This means we will continue to innovate on channels such as Instagram, WhatsApp, Messenger, and new powerful Manychat features to enhance their effectiveness and user experience, and help you and your clients achieve better results.
While this decision means we will not be developing a direct alternative to the Chat Plugin right now, we are open to revisiting our product roadmap later.
So please continue adding your votes and use cases to this thread - your feedback will help us evaluate the need and urgency, and enable us to craft a tailored and effective solution down the line.
Thank you for your support and understanding!
I have been making this request for years.
Other providers are miles ahead.
I don't understand it. Why is such an important widget not being adopted?
It is beyond me.
Especially now, with the possibility of integrating AI, this would be a game-changing feature.
Please wake up, friends!!!

Wrong decision, sorry.
We need this ASAP. Ther is no way to work without website widget. The website is the most important channel.
This is absurd. Is just a deal breaker to keep on using manychat
Hi everyone, newbie here! Me and my team just recently got ManyChat for the automations options on social media, which we like. We were also interested in a chat bot option to implement on our Wordpress website, but if I understood correctly, this is currently not possible?
I literally build 100% of all code for my website platform business and have built in to my website platform the ability for Administrators to choose which person (and even more specifically, which of their browsers if they’re using multiple) that they can message out of the blue. So it is definitely possible! Though I want to temper people’s expectations: something you might take five seconds to do might take a developer or a team weeks to implement. Typically the issue for most developers and teams of developers is money, time or the levels of demand. There are often many people demanding a feature that they will never use. That is why I only build things that people pay for: because they’re serious. Any way, the Manychat team are dedicating to using Meta’s API’s (and Google’s API for Google Sheets) and others. It’s up to them to determine what they can support. Plus on top of that there are many platforms out there to build websites, so building a chat for one wouldn’t result in it working on another. Mine works great because I don’t have to deal with anyone else’s code. A quick screenshot:

Deal breaker for us as well - we were about to move from hubspot to manychat but we're canceling for not having a website chat widget. 80% of our contacts come from the website chat plugin.
I co dalej z tym tematem ?
Hi. Any update on this matter? I am being force to move to a different solution for not having an omnichannel that works out of social media. Customer is asking for this D:
