I noticed Variables are not customizable and my team needed that feature for our company, I am planning to switch to ManyChat full time for our communication, however, this feature for templates is not available and this is what we needed the most for our customers.
Manychat has user fields and bot fields which are pretty flexible:

Both are customizable and you can use them in templates.
Actually, I don't know if they should be the same thing. In my case, I have fields that are not user-owned, such as a list of orders or abandoned carts. I would like to be able to approve a message template using features that are from the context of a trigger, for example.
