How do you create an action that increases the giveaway chances when they post a story and tag you?

Question: How can I message users after the 24-hour window? Specifically, users who’ve previously completed a flow—can I re-engage them after 24 hours using the ‘opt-in’ action? If they opted in, is it possible to subscribe them to another flow a week later? Thank you!

Based on the sweepstakes example shown today, I’m curious to understand what options are available in ManyChat when updating a single row in Google Sheets. .I’ll update my post if other questions come to mind] 

  1. Can you use Data Validation within a single cell that has pre-defined Dropdown items in a list and select a value in that list from ManyChat logic? I’m thinking of a list of tags or other “CRM-lite” flows.

At the moment, Manychat doesn't offer an action that automatically increases giveaway chances when someone posts a story and tags you. However, we truly appreciate great ideas like this, and I encourage you to submit it as a feature request to our team here: https://community.manychat.com/ideas

​@MK_CapeTown On Instagram, there is no option to re-engage with contacts after the 24-hour window, unfortunately. You need to keep the window open, if you want to continue sending messages so they interact with your automations from different flow.

Currently, it's not possible to directly use Manychat logic to select or change a value within a Google Sheets cell that has Data Validation with a dropdown list. Manychat can send data to Google Sheets via an action step, but it doesn’t have control over in-sheet logic like selecting from a dropdown or interacting with data validation rules.

That said, one workaround could be to send the desired value from Manychat to the appropriate cell, and ensure that value already exists in the predefined dropdown list in Google Sheets—this way, it won’t break the validation rule. However, Manychat won’t “select” it from the dropdown; it simply inputs the value.

Probably a dum question, but does ManyChat integrate with different CRM software such as HubSpot?

That’s what I was afraid the answer would be. Probably a dum question, but does ManyChat integrate with different CRM software such as HubSpot?

Not a dumb question at all — and yes, Manychat can integrate with CRMs like HubSpot, but not via a built-in native integration.

Instead, you can connect Manychat to HubSpot (and other CRMs) using third-party tools like Zapier, Make (Integromat), or custom API calls via Manychat's External Request action. This allows you to send and receive contact data, add notes, update deals, and more.

Question from the chat: How can I control the Live Chat notifications? Sometimes I receive notifications, and sometimes I don’t. Sometimes the conversation is only in an automated flow and I still receive Live Chat notifications — and sometimes I don’t. How can I manage and control this behavior?

Is there a specific tool you use to choose the winner of the giveaway?


I saw another Manychat user’s automation from “comment on reel” have three boxes with pictures side by side with different responses pointing to different things. (like click here to find the recipe, click this button to find all the recipes, and the third was click here to join my newsletter list). How do I set up an automation that looks and functions like that?

Question from the chat: Are there any reminder options in ManyChat that I can use to remind agents to follow up on conversations?


We are integrating Manychat with our in-house CRM to create a unified and intelligent sales pipeline. Currently, we can capture basic lead data (name, phone number, tags, etc.), but there is no official method to retrieve the full conversation history between the user and the bot (or human agent).

This limitation affects our ability to provide context to our sales team and to maintain proper records of interactions.

Feature Request:

We’re requesting a native action within Flow Builder or a dedicated API endpoint that enables us to retrieve the entire message history of a user — ideally in structured format (JSON or plain text), including all bot interactions and Live Chat messages.


You mentioned maxing out API calls in Google Sheet if a post goes ‘viral’ - can you help us understand what volume of traffic that is? Just trying to gauge if it’s worth building out contingencies up front or wait until things break then swoop in to make adjustments

Google Sheets integration has a limit of 150 requests per 60 seconds.  You can find more about Google Sheets integration here: Google Sheets API limit

 

There is a workaround to avoid reaching this limit, which envolves using Randomizers and Smart Delays, so you add delays to send each google Sheet action.
