In some cases, the low delivery rate is a Meta throttling delivery when a message pattern looks too automated or promotional. A few best practices that help:

1. Avoid putting a link in the first message. Make your opening DM feel like a real conversation instead of a drop-off point. Invite the person to click a button to continue, and deliver the link a step later.
2. Use different keywords for different posts. Rotating your trigger keywords avoids repetitive patterns Meta may flag.
3. Add a "Smart Delay" before the first response so the message feels more human and less like an instant automated blast.
4. Keep the first message from feeling too promotional. A warmer, lighter opener tends to get delivered — and read — more reliably.

One more thing worth adding: when a post starts gaining traction or going viral, that sudden surge in identical outbound messages is exactly what can trip Meta's spam filters. A useful workaround is to set up two versions of your comment automation — one that posts a public reply and one that doesn't — and switch to the non-reply version when a post takes off. It keeps the flow running without stacking up the repetitive activity Meta tends to penalize.
