I have a big request: I launched a 7 day automation (triggered by a link click), but after two days, the automation stopped. Permission has been refreshed, there are no block conditions, and everything double checked and seems to be in order. I'm so disappointed and frustrated
Could you please help me troubleshoot this?
Thank you in advance

Hey @Mag's Tracks quick question, which channel are you sending the automation on?
Instagram? Messenger? WhatsApp?
Most likely you're trying to message people outside the 24 hours, and that's why it's failing.
Thanks for the quick feedback. I was running an Instagram automation with a 23-hour delay between each message. Everything was set up correctly. I followed all the troubleshooting steps, including refreshing permissions, and then received this warning:
“Your Facebook Conversions API (CAPI) integration has been disconnected. To keep your data flowing, please reconnect it manually.”
Unfortunately, reconnecting turned out to be impossible. Every attempt led to new technical issues. I spent 2 hours trying to fix it, but I totally gave up. All the fun I had using ManyChat is now gone. I’ve just cancelled my subscription - and honestly, I’m crying like a baby. All my automations are lost. How is it possible that a system can break so suddenly - and then requires a manual reconnections from users like me who are not really advanced in more technical issues ? This kind of technical chaos is overwhelming. I will try to cancel account and subscribe once again, maybe it will help ???
Hey @Mag's Tracks sorry to hear that….
Going over your issues…
I was running an Instagram automation with a 23-hour delay between each message.
This breaks the 24-hour rule if the person does not interact with each message, so yeah, you're going to have issues with this.
“Your Facebook Conversions API (CAPI) integration has been disconnected. To keep your data flowing, please reconnect it manually.”
This is an unrelated issue, and I'm not sure what happened here with your connection. Although, to be honest, you do not need CAPI to run your automations, you can keep going and disregard this message - and only worry about this when you're putting a lot of $ into ads.
Overall Manychat is really easy to get started.
Once you get more complex and your business depends more on automations, it's a really bad idea not to have an expert managing your account. And here it's up to you: you can hire, or you can learn. But the reality is that you need someone who knows what they're doing and who can work around the rules and policies that Meta has…
Hope this helps a bit, and also hope to see you back on Manychat soon! Once you get it working for you, Manychat becomes a magic money-making machine!! :D
Hi again Gustavo,
Thank you so much for your patience and quick replies.
My idea was to set up a kind of 7 day subscription via Instagram, where the follower wouldn’t need to reply - they would simply receive a short daily message with one text and one audio per day.
However, I now understand that if the viewer doesn’t respond, the automation stops automatically. Does this mean it's not possible to set up a passive subscription-style flow without user interaction?
I’d really appreciate your clarification on whether such a setup is achievable or if there's a workaround.
@Mag's Tracks
Does this mean it's not possible to set up a passive subscription-style flow without user interaction?
Indeed, it's not possible.
You have to go multi-channel, and from Instagram go to SMS, WhatsApp or Email (these channels let us send messages whenever we want).
Your strategy on IG should include getting the contact into your ecosystem, so you can continue to talk to them outside of the 24 hours.
Dear Gustavo,
All clear and thank you so much!!! As always, it’s me panicking instead of just asking first At one point, it honestly felt like the end of the world! Just to confirm: for any future issues I might run into, is it okay to reach out to the community moderators? It really gives me a sense of comfort knowing there are real humans I can talk to when something goes wrong :)
Thanks again for your support!
@Mag's Tracks it's always ok to leave a question right here in the community, and if I don't pick it up there are a bunch of very knowledgeable users in here!
So yeah, no need to panic, just ask!
It's Lego, but applies 100% to automations and Manychat!! :)
