AARRGHH I changed my instagram name and its linking to my old account

Hi ​@Kate Prance, I also have changed my IG account name but I was able to have it reflected on my Manychat account, just by “ Refresing IG permissions”. You can do this by clicking Help → Refresh Permissions.

This usually happens because Manychat is still connected to the same Instagram account ID, even though you changed the username.

So changing the Instagram name doesn’t always update the connection inside Manychat right away.

I’d try this:

• go to Settings > Instagram in Manychat

• disconnect the Instagram account

• reconnect it again through the correct Meta/Facebook account

• make sure the Instagram profile is connected to the right Facebook Page

• then refresh/check if the new username shows correctly

If it’s still showing the old one after reconnecting, it’s probably just a sync issue on Meta/Manychat’s side, and support may need to refresh it.

So in short: rename alone usually isn’t enough reconnecting the IG channel is usually the fix.
