👋 Hi everyone—hoping someone here can help!

I’m experiencing an issue with my Instagram Comment Automation, and would appreciate any advice or insight.

Here’s what I have set up:

  • My Facebook Page (Aurras Transformation) and Instagram Business Account (@aurrastransformation) are fully connected.

  • I have Full Admin Access to both the Page and the Business Manager.

  • I created an automation triggered by a keyword in Instagram comments.

I tested two versions:
1️⃣ A DM with a direct link.-- nothing will arrive on the other side.
2️⃣ A DM with a button (e.g., “Send me the link”) to trigger a follow-up message.

✅ When someone comments the keyword, the first message is delivered successfully in Instagram Direct Messages.
❌ However, when I (or my test account) click the button in that message, nothing happens—no further message is sent.

In ManyChat Live Chat, I can see the button click was recorded, but no automation continues.

I have confirmed:

  • All flows are published.

  • The button actions are set to Continue Flow or Start Another Flow.

  • Everything is active and correctly configured.

Despite this, the issue persists.

Any ideas on why this might be happening or how to fix it?

Thank you so much in advance for any help!

Hi, @Bettina-Kira!

This could be some permissions issue.

I'd recommend refreshing your permissions and check if everything on Meta's side is as it should be, This help article shows how to do it step by step: Instagram automation troubleshooting – Manychat Help

Another important thing... Meta restricts Manychat to only trigger ONCE per user with the Comment trigger for each post/reel. This means that, once you comment any keyword on a post and it triggers any automation, nothing more will be triggered for your user for that same post (even if it's a totally different automation).

Because of that, I always create an additional Send Message trigger to my automations in order to test it live without this limitation.

To help even more, it would help if you could share a screenshot of the beginning of your automation (triggers and first message blocks). Sometimes a little “misconfiguration” is the villain. 😅
