auto-DM link from comments only partially working

I’ve set up the automation, filling in all the suggested inputs. When I test it, it only sends the first one and doesn’t give the user the button to click, or anything past that. So I don’t actually get to send the link. I’ve tried several times and it’s always the same issue. And I can’t find the link to contact support. Can anyone help?

Hey, @therealbeachalert
Are you using the “quick automations” template or the flow builder one? And how are you trying to test it?

Hi @therealbeachalert

I might be able to help you figure this out, but I’d need a bit more context. Could you share a few screenshots of your automation or send a link to the post so I can take a closer look?

That will make it much easier to spot what might be causing the issue 🙂

@rodrigo_silvano I’m using the “quick automations” template and testing it with a friend’s Instagram account, where they comment “keyword” and go through the automated responses. Only the first one comes up, and that one doesn’t give them a way to respond with one click like the template says.

This usually happens because the first DM goes out, but the rest of the flow is getting blocked after that.

A few common reasons:

  • the button or next step is not linked correctly

  • Instagram/Messenger is limiting the next message

  • the flow stops after the first message block

So I’d check the step right after the first DM and make sure the button is connected to the next action. If the first message sends but nothing after it, the problem is usually in the flow path, not the trigger.

OK. I’ve refreshed the permissions. So now can someone please help me test and see if the automation now works? It’s the first post under therealbeachalert on Instagram.(Not sure if links are allowed in here).
