Is there a way to automatically mark contacts as closed after a certain period of time? I don’t want inactive contacts going towards my monthly bill, but don’t want to have to manually close out all of the DM conversations that I’m receiving.

You have an action to Delete Contacts. You can set up an automation with this to do it automatically for you, for example, X days after their last interaction.
