Automation not stopping in WhatsApp coexistence mode

Hi everyone,

we're working with WhatsApp in coexistence mode, and we're running into an issue where automations don’t stop when a user sends a message.

The problem seems to be that the user is sending a message from WhatsApp Business, not from the Live Chat window—so ManyChat doesn’t detect it as user activity that should pause the automation.

Is there any automatic solution or recommended setup that will stop/pause the automation as soon as the user replies from WhatsApp Business?

Any insights or workarounds would be appreciated!

@Avishay no, this is not possible unfortunately.

The best alternative is to use Manychat’s Live Chat to talk to the person. When you reply through the Live Chat it automatically pauses automations (and on the app you can select to pause automations forever if you’d like)
