Automation only working for Instagram not Facebook/Messenger

I set everything as in the article. It is still not working for me. I cannot activate the next step. Manychat asks as a next step a facebook Message. So I set it. But still it does not work. Has anyone another idea?

As you see Manychat requires to set the trigger as a Comment reply. But I cannot do it. So I tried setting a comment as next step. Then Manychat asks to set the second step as a Facebook Message. And the trigger won’t never turn green

Ok the first message connected has to be of type ‘Comment Reply’ (like the message you have on top).

And on that first message, you CANNOT have a next step connected to it, like you have on the ‘Send Message’ bubble that you show in the screenshot.

So that first comment reply will be a message + button link to continue (WITHOUT a ‘next step’ connected to it).

This is due to how Meta works, and it has to be like that.

Don’t I have a problem with the European DSGVO? I need to ask the people if I can send anything to them

On the 2nd image the message is NOT set as a comment reply (it doesn’t have the chat bubble on the top left), AND it has the next step connected.

You need to change both things - set it as comment reply as the first image, and disconnect the Next Step, and it will work.

Ok try setting a new automation from scratch, in case there’s something off with your current automation (with all the edits).

It looks ok now. So you should be able to publish it with the changes and it should work.

If it still fails you’ll most likely need to contact support.
