ive deleted all contacts from an automation to make space for the automation to continue yet the automation still wont restart.

Have you gone over 1000 contacts in Manychat?
If so, automations will pause and you need to upgrade to Pro for automations to continue to work.

auto DM as soon as someone follows me.
it worked fine for a couple of days and when my contact limit was full I would clear contacts and then the process would continue however now it’s completely stopped messaging new followers even when I clear my contacts to make more space. I’ve re-linked my Instagram twice continue to clear contacts toggled the automation on and off and still nothing it stopped working and Manychat help is terrible as there is none.

I was on Pro when it stopped working, as I was still a few days into my trial. Since the trial ended, however, I did resort back to the free plan, but I continued to delete acquired contacts to keep slots free. It still didn't restart my automations.

Once you hit the 1000 contact mark on Manychat’s FREE plan, even if you delete old contacts, it won’t keep working… 🙃

so even if i have pro,
reach 2500 contacts (within a month) , delete them, it won’t keep working on Pro either ?

PRO works differently… the contact cleaning will keep your billing low. 😉

i’ve signed up to pro- cleared contacts ,
logged out, logged back in, checked all automations are set to on (and say they are live),
checked new followers and they still aren’t getting the automated message after following.
Im so confused why this isn’t working. tried resetting IG linking too.
Is there any way to get help from ManyChat themselves to fix this ? it seems impossible to get help that actually solves the problem

In such cases, it's probably something related to Instagram's permissions…
