Automation sending multiple duplicates of each message

Hi all - long time user here, with an odd issue. I have a fairly basic flow:

1. specific comment word triggers DM
2. DM offers 3 button options
3. Each button sends response with a unique link
4. After link, option to join mailing list with Y/N
5. N ends flow
6. Y checks if they are in list already, and if not goes through email collection

For some reason, no matter what I do… the link and the messages that accompany it in that step are sending anywhere from 3 to 5 times on a single button press. Screenshots below. I’ve tried separating the link and the accompanying messages into different steps, I’ve tried delays and no delays, I’ve even tried adding tags + conditions in between various steps to try and stop the re-triggering. But no matter what I do… when people hit a button, e.g. “Pinehurst”… they receive the link five times consecutively, and the following message 2-3 times as well.

Any ideas??? I’m stumped.
