Big difference between 'sent' and 'delivered' in Facebook Messenger

I made my first Automation yesterday. People comment on my Facebookpost and receive an automatic reply on the comment + receive a prive Facebook Message in their inbox.

There is such a big difference between 'Sent’ and 'Delivered'. How can I solve that? I offer something for free when they comment, so I don't like the fact that so many people don't seem to receive it. :( Or does it mean something else? :D

Good news: your numbers are healthier than they look. The Sent to Delivered gap on comment-to-DM is mostly Meta mechanics, not your build.

Sent means the message was handed to Meta successfully. Delivered only registers once the person's Messenger actually receives it, which in practice means when they next open Messenger. People who comment on a post but don't open Messenger for days, or barely use it, stay stuck on Sent. The tell is in your own screenshot: Delivered is 704 and Opened is 703. Essentially everyone who received it opened it, and 83% clicked. That's a strong funnel.

Part of the gap is also the Message Requests folder. A private message from a Page someone has never messaged before lands there, and plenty of people never check it.

What you can do at the margins: have the public comment reply tell people to check their message requests, and keep the first private message short and clean so the preview reads well in that folder. But most of that gap is recipient behavior, and it would look similar on any tool in this space.

The number I'd actually watch is Clicks over Delivered, and yours is excellent.
